alcohol inks on yupo
Judy McNish Cadorette is amazed and inspired everyday by the incredible
beauty of B.C., especially Shawnigan Lake. The mountains, trees, lake, and oceans compel the "work" that she does. Having traveled extensively, often to art museums throughout the world, she always feels gifted upon returning home to the prettiest place on earth.
Judy has created since she could hold a pencil, a camera or paintbrush and feels fortunate to have had so many wonderful teachers, without which she wouldn't have the tools of composition and colour theory. Her art blossomed when she was encouraged to try alcohol inks on yupo and is currently adapting the medium to canvas as well. The flow and immediacy are incredibly exciting.
Always encouraged by her husband, Pat, Judy's paintings have been acquired by collectors across Canada.
In the words of Salvador Dali: "If you understand a painting beforehand, you might as well not paint it."
