On September 13th, we took several members of the Victoria Genealogical Society on a guided walk to the Kinsol Trestle. The story behind this spectacular bridge is an amazing story of survival - the trestle withstood damage from flooding, fires, willful human vandalism and the force of nature over its long history. The rehabilitated bridge is a major destination for tourists and locals, along the Cowichan section of the Great Trail.
