Shawnigan Lake Historical Society
Board of Directors

Peter Nash
Joined the board in 2014
Peter feels very fortunate to have been born and raised in Victoria.  Married and blessed with 3 children and 11 grandchildren, he had a fulfilling career as a dentist and is now enjoying semi-retirement.  In 2005, Peter started a home-based business, supplying schools with a storage system for students at risk from known medical crises.  Peter’s connection to Shawnigan Lake began in the 1960s when he “worked” as a camp water sports instructor for two summers.  Fast forward to 1988 when he and his wife purchased their own summer cottage - he was able to share his dream with his family and friends.  Many happy summers were enjoyed until 2002, when he and his wife became permanent residents in their renovated home.  Peter has many interests, including genealogy, travel, history and “anything Shawnigan”!  He enjoys being on the board of the Shawnigan Lake Museum and his vision is to see it grow in both size and significance.
